Water damage restoration in Buell Mansion, CO

Buell Mansion is a gated community of about 110 acres on a hilltop at the corner of Hampden Avenue and University Boulevard, the northwest corner of Cherry Hills Village. It takes its name from the Georgian Revival house built there in 1920 by the Fisher brothers for Alexis Foster and bought in 1930, along with 192 acres around it, by the architect Temple Buell. The estate was carved into building lots in the 1990s and 2000s, and the houses on them are large custom two-stories with full basements, private roads, a pool, tennis courts, and Buell Lake at the low end of the property.

A hilltop drains well, and the houses at the top of Buell Mansion rarely see ground water. The ones down toward the lake are another matter, and every house in the neighborhood has a big roof over a lot of finished ceiling and a basement mechanical room with two or three water heaters in it.

This site puts Buell Mansion homeowners through by phone to an independent local water damage provider. The provider meters the basement before setting a scope.

Buell Mansion water damage from the roofline down

A hail-cracked tile roof that let water into a bedroom wing is roof leak water damage, and the crew follows the wet insulation back to the entry point. A 75-gallon tank that let go in a mechanical room next to the theater is a water heater leak cleanup. A basement along the lake side with damp carpet after a wet May is a basement flooding cleanup.

The house on the hill that the neighborhood is named for

The Foster-Buell Estate at 2700 East Hampden Avenue went on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 and now serves as the community's clubhouse and event space, with grounds laid out by Saco DeBoer, the same landscape architect who planned the rest of Cherry Hills Village. The neighborhood is gated with private roads, so tell the person who answers that the crew will need to be cleared at the gate. Rebuild permits go through the Cherry Hills Village building department.
